KIMIN: On the 9th of November 2021 the Hon'ble Union Minister of State Dr. Jitendra Singh landed in the Kimin circle of Papumpare district (AP), for the formal inauguration of the Department of Biotechnology, a centre of Bio-resource and Sustainable Development. He was accompanied by the Hon'ble Deputy Chief Minister of State Shri Chowna Mein, Hon'ble Member of Parliament Shri. Tapir Gao, Hon'ble Member Parliament Rajya Sabha Shri Nabam Rebia and minister of Science & Tech Shir Shri. Honchun Ngandam.

The Hon'ble Union Minister of State (Independent Charge)for Science & Technology and Earth Sciences Dr Jitendra Singh formally inaugurated the Department of Biotechnology _ APSCS&T for the centre of Excellence for bioresource and sustainable development, Rural Technology Demonstration Centre and Launched Skill Vigyan Programme in Bio-Technology here in Kimin.
The inauguration was held at Kamasaki, in Kimin and later on, he highlighted its significance and importance at the main ground.
The people of Kimin welcomed the Union Minister of State in a befitting manner wherein the traditional Rikam-Pada with colourful Nyishi attire was appreciated as well.
While delivering a stupendous speech to the people of Kimin, Dr. Jitendra Singh left no stone unturned to appreciate the Hon'ble Prime Minister's acknowledgment and support to the state of Arunachal Pradesh and North-Eastern region as a whole.
Appreciating and Congratulating the grand initiatives herein Kimin, Dr, Singh stated "You shall reap the fruit of this establishment within two years from now, The centre of Bio-resource in Kimin will not just help the state in biotechnology but also in the agriculture and horticulture sector as they are also linked"
Further, he stated, "Arunachal is the land of Bio-resource and this centre is going to be the avenue of Livelihood and self-employment". While speaking further he also went on to say that, "whether the people get job or not but with the support from the government the people can help themselves in earn by indulging in self-employment"
The Union Minister repeatedly focussed on Youths as he believed that the newly established centre is especially for the youths. The tribal areas if focussed and given more attention like this will help the nation progress enormously.
“Two years ago, the government brought an amendment in the North Eastern Council Act that the deprived and neglected section of the society will get special attention and special grants. With this motive, the centre for excellence has been established in this territorial and northeastern state, so that the benefits reach to the tribal areas" He added.
"Bio-Technology with the Skill Vigyan shall help the youths and the people of the state in a progressive manner" he added.
"Arunachal Hindustan ka Shaan hain ,kyuki sabse Pehle Suraj ka Darshan aap karte he, aap ki sewa Modi ki sarkar se hosake, yeh humara sankalp bhi he ,badhai bhi he" highligted Dr.Jitendra Singh.
The gathering witnessed the unveiling of the logo of the Centre for Earth Sciences and Himalayan studies and the formal launching of the skill Vigyan.
"This building is also going to serve the state as an institution, a centre for learning" stated Executive Engineer, Doimukh Division, while in a short discussion with the SPACE.
According to the Executive Engineer the date of tender for the construction was on 13th of February 2019, the commencement of work began on 7th of March 2019, it took 18 months of completion period i,e on 7th of September 2020, however, the actual Date of Completion was on April 2021.
ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION
The centre for Earth Sciences and Himalayan Studies is an autonomous organization established by the government of Arunachal Pradesh under the Department of Science and Technology. The main objective of the Centre for Earth Sciences and Himalayan Studies is to give a major thrust on research activities, focussing on the geodynamics of earth sciences and natural hazards.
This Centre shall provide meteorological information related to weather-sensitive activities for the sectors like agriculture, irrigation, aviation, pilgrimage and eco-tourism etc.
