"We feel like we are trapped in a Prison" : Hime Village of Kangku Circle cries for delayed Road Connectivity

LOWER SIANG: Arunachal Pradesh has a tremendous challenge to accomplish when it comes to road connectivity. No doubt the state has achieved major connectivities as of today but there are many pockets around the state which reels in despondency having lesser road connectivity. As such the Hime Village of Kangku Circle in the Lower Siang district has cried for the road connectivity since time immemorial.
Why on News?
On 14th September 2021, The village head Gam Shri Jarcham Ngomle along with few village representatives expressed their despondency through the SPACE media pertaining to the delay in completion of PMGSY Road.
What are their Grievances?
Ngomle stated, " The PMGSY road construction which was supposed to connect Durpai to Likbali has been on halt due to unprecedented scenarios, the villagers have been longing for the commencement of the work hitherto but the authorities have kept their eyes and ears away from heeding to the pertaining cause"
The head Gam in a dismayed manner reported the SPACE Media that the villagers have been residing in the Hime village for ages, "Humara Ancestor bhi yaha raha hain" added Ngomle.
It has come to the notice that the Hime village which lies beside the foothills of Lower Siang has been reeling under major challenges. The bottlenecks that thwart the region from receiving the heydays of Development are the absence of inter-district and intra-district connectivity and the village bordering the Assam plain.
The Village Head Gam gloomily stated, "We don't have proper road connectivity in our village that can connect us to the other regions of Arunachal, Every time we have to travel via Assam, it has caused us a tremendous problem in travelling to our own state"
