"We Oppose The Marriage and Inheritance Bill 2021", 'Its Anti Arunachalee and Anti Indigenous: ANYA

Amidst the social media uproar on the previous news of the Marriage and Inheritance bill 2021, All Nyishi Youth Association (ANYA) has dived in vehemently opposing the aforesaid bill, which any way strived its path to be tabled in the Legislative Assembly session in the days to come.
The union body pertaining to the Nyishi community has stated the bill as "Anti Arunachalee and Anti Indigenous"
Hundreds of opinions dropped in on social media platforms intervening the said proposed bill, Meanwhile the APWWS gazed everything in silence .
ANYA Gen Secy Bengia Tada went on to say, "We completely disagree with the proposed draft which says ‘An APST woman shall enjoy the right of any property owned and acquired by her in her lifetime. In the event of her death, her husband and her heir have full rights of its disposal.’ The proposed bill is against the interest of indigenous communities of state,”
The union clarified that in customary law, there is no gender discrimination in sharing of inherited immovable property. The inherited property is shared with the women but the sharing of immovable properties with those Arunachalee women married to non-APST is not acceptable.
Tada further stated, "How can a non-tribal acquire property by simply marrying an Arunachali wherein at present they enter in the state by obtaining Inner Line Permit as per Bengal Frontier Regulation 1873,”
The union termed the bill as a sensitive issue and appealed to the authorities and the government to have a fruitful discussion on the said bill among various communities, wherein the customary laws already exist in the state. However, the senior women personalities affiliated to the APWWS has welcomed opinions and ideas, wherein some women section has already stated, "the bill comes as a key to equal rights and equal opportunity irrespective of genders legally through a bill in the state"
Meanwhile many sections of the society have expressed their discontentment on the said drafted proposal of "Marriage and Inheritance bill 2021"
