Tripura BJP MLA Jadab Lal Nath caught watching obscene videos during Assembly session.

Tripura
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Jadab Lal Nath who represents Bagbasa
constituency was allegedly caught watching obscene video on his phone during
the Assembly session.
A
video is flooding all over the social media where the MLA is seen scrolling
through his phone and allegedly caught watching explicit video clips intently
on his phone when the proceedings were underway in the assembly on the last day
of the Budget session on Wednesday.
Looking
at the angle from which the video was taken, it was obvious that the video was
captured by someone sitting behind the MLA without Nath's being aware of it.
According
to reports, the BJP has served the MLA a show cause notice.
While
opposition parties and netizens have demanded action against Nath calling it an
shameful act.
Infact,
Opposition leader Animesh Debbarma has also demanded the chair of the MLA to be
cleansed with holy Ganga water.
Reportedly,
Nath, on the other hand, defended himself by stating obscene videos started
appearing on his phone as he received a call.
“I
know well that using mobile phones is prohibited in the House. As repeated
calls were coming, I picked up a call, and then obscene videos started
appearing on my phone. Anyways, I then closed it," he told news agency,
PTI.
He
further said that he spoke to the party leadership and state BJP president
Rajib Bhattacharya and that they have told him to wait for their decision.
Meanwhile,
Tripura Assembly Speaker Biswa Bandhu Sen said, “I respect social media and is
an important medium. However, I have not received a complaint, I cannot be
guided by the social media. Once the complaint comes, we shall initiate actions
accordingly. Everything shall follow as per the laid norms and procedure."
The
first three-day session of the newly constituted Tripura assembly was held on
March 24 and March 27-28.
This
is not the first time such an incident had occurred when a BJP leader has found
themselves in an embarrassing situation. Back in 2012, three BJP ministers of
Karnataka -- Lakshman Savdi, CC Patil and Krishna Palemar were also allegedly
caught watching porn during the assembly session.
