State kabaddi team brings home a National Championship Trophy

ITANAGAR: The state's Kabaddi team had participated in the National Sports Championship 2021 held at Dehradun. The team returned home with immense exhilaration holding the Championship trophy in their hand, with the slogan "Jai kabaddi".

The Arunachal kabaddi team returned home on Thursday after winning the National Sports Championship-2021. They defeated Rajasthan scoring 21-10 in the final match on 2nd October 2021.
The National Sports & Physical Fitness Board at the Guru Ram Rai University in Dehradun successfully organized the three-day National championship game.
Arunachal Kabaddi Association president Bamang Raman stated, "Having defeated the strong teams from Haryana, Gujarat, and Rajasthan, the state Kabaddi team has indeed flagged a history for the very first time with such laurels,”
Raman also expressed his objectives of taking the kabaddi to another height, the Association has sought to take the game to the international level and for that, the Association shall organize district wise tournaments which shall surely benefit the future sportsman and provide an opportunity of platform for the sports enthusiastic individuals of the state.
What's the Update?
The association shall look forward to appeal the state government to assist the players with the required equipment and proper stadium to practice. Further stating Raman appealed to the government to generate Employment Opportunities for skilled and talented sportsmen from the state.
