Sonam Kapoor gets invited to King Charles’ III Coronation concert.

Bollywood
actress Sonam Kapoor has become the only Indian to get invited at King Charles’
III coronation in the UK on May 6 among big international celebrities like Tom
Cruise and Katy Perry.
Reportedly,
Sonam will perform a spoken word at the historical coronation ceremony of King
Chares III and introduce the Commonwealth virtual choir.
While
calling it a 'momentous' occasion, Sonam, who will be marking her first royal
engagement, said she feels honoured to join the Commonwealth virtual choir and
celebrate His Majesty's love for music and art.
“It’s
a momentous occasion that signifies a commitment to a positive, inclusive, and
optimistic future for the United Kingdom, with the Choir’s music paying tribute
to the royal legacy and promoting unity, peace, and joy,” she said.
However,
netizens are shocked and have started trolling the actress saying, Sonam doesn’t
deserves to be invited to the ceremony as she has done nothing for the India.
While
some even said, will the actress bring back the Kohinoor and that residing in
UK is not a good enough reason to be invited to the ceremony.
Sonam
is currently enjoying her motherhood residing in London with her businessman
husband, Anand Ahuja. She has been absent from the screen after giving birth to
her son in August 2020.
The 74-year-old royal will be formally crowned as monarch along with his wife, Queen Consort Camilla, at Westminster Abbey in London on May 6, 203 and millions are expected to join in the celebrations over a long holiday weekend.
According to Buckingham Palace, this year’s events ‘will reflect the Monarch’s role today and look towards the future, while being rooted in longstanding traditions and pageantry’.
