The famous Temi tea of Sikkim has been awarded as the ‘Great Taste Tea’ award among the other premium tea brands of the world in a tea competition organised by the Guild of Fine Food (GFF) in London for the year 2022.
Great Taste is considered as one of the world’s largest and most trusted food and drink accreditation scheme which is organised by the Guild of Fine Food, based in London and Dorset and which was founded by Bob Farrand in 1992. It supports and promotes food & drink producers, large and small, giving buyers and food lovers in the UK and overseas reliable recommendations for great tasting food. Each year, thousands of entries of food or drink are judged by a panel of over 500 experts.
As per reports, the judges usually look for truly great unique taste that has the quality to stand out amongst all. They are more into the texture, appearance and the quality of the ingredients and the aroma that comes with it rather than taking into account the branding or packaging of the product. “But above all else the question remains whether the product taste truly great?”
Temi tea has won the title of ‘Best Tea’ for its unique taste and has received an award titled “Unravel Tea”. It has also been reported that Temi tea was one of the contenders for the first flush award.
