In the four and half years of creation as a new district, Shi-Yomi has not witnessed much development. The district is yet reeling under darkness, a darkness of non-availability of a proper internet facility, no-proper electricity, perilous road condition, and another numerous thing which are still yet to be addressed by the concern Minister and the state government in particular.
"We have addressed our grievances to the media lately but we still have not yet gone for an official protest led by Shi-Yomi students union"_said Jura Diru, Gen. Secy of Shi-Yomi districts students Union.
The GS has informed The SPACE that they have taken up the issue in the Tato Hq and would do the same in the capital accordingly.
The campaign has been lifted off by the youth fraternity comprising mostly the students, over the social media as of now.
Nani Yorung, General Secy, Shi-Yomi District Law Students Union, informed the SPACE that the district has been temporarily been availed with a V-SAT internet facility installed having alloted 2 Gb per month.
"Something is better than Nothing" added Yorung while expressing his opinion on the status of the Internet facility in the Shi-Yomi district.
Further speaking to the SPACE Yorung said that "if the internet cable has been laid there won't be any proper outcome because of ongoing Highway construction. In fact Which will be a hurdle for both Highway construction and the cable maintenance itself".
"For now to solve the network issue only if the state government could maintain the network towers properly which has been already installed or either installed a High-end range Wifi set " added Yorung (Gs SYDLSU)
