PANGIN- PASIGHAT HIGHWAY :NH-13 COMPLETELY WASHED AWAY

The NH-13 which connects Pasighat HQ of East Siang district to Pangin in the Siang district has been completely annihilated by the incessant rainfall today. The road connects several other districts like West Siang, Upper Siang, and Shi-Yomi. The netizens told the team SPACE that the rainfall has been occurring in Pasighat since past 5 days.
Some stated, "This year the people in Siang, East Siang and other districts like Namsai and lohit has witnessed deficit rainfall, and despite the rainfall deficit in Arunachal Pradesh, the frequent degradation of soil leading to landslide and mudslide has been witnessed.
The concerned authorities not just have to repair the destroyed path but also give attention to the burgeoning climate change and the environmental trespassers.
East Siang DC Dr Kinny Singh has issued a travel advisory, cautioning the public against taking the Pasighat-Pangin route for seven days, especially at night. The DC has directed the highway department executive engineer and the NHIDL general manager to deploy men and machinery 24/7 to fully restore the road.
