NCC DG calls on the Governor

The Director General of National Cadet Corps (NCC) Lt. General Tarun Kumar Aich called on the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Brig. (Dr.) B. D. Mishra (Retd.) at New Delhi on 10th February 2021.
The Governor stressed on promotion of NCC in every educational institute of the State. He said that NCC helps the cadets to imbibe leadership quality, spirit of nationalism and ideals of selfless service while developing strong moral character, comradeship, discipline, secular outlook and spirit of adventure.
The Governor emphasized that every student in the School, College and University must have the opportunity to join this premier youth development organization. He asked the DG NCC to direct his officers to coordinate with the State Education Department to ensure that Principals of educational institutions apply for NCC units and fill up the sanctioned staff vacancies of NCC, if any, are filled. He also suggested the Director General to advise his officers in the State to put in concerted effort to train the cadets from Arunachal Pradesh so that they become competent and qualify for the Republic Day parade and eventually join the Indian Armed Forces.
