Manish Sisodia writes letter from jail; says India needs an educated Prime Minister for the progress of the country.

Manish
Sisodia, former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi who is currently in jail, has
written a letter from his prison cell to the nation in regards to the ongoing
controversy surrounding Prime Minister Narendra Modi's educational degrees.
In his letter, which was posted on Twitter by Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal, Sisodia alleged that “Modi being less educated is dangerous for the country.”

He
further remarked that "Modi ji does not understand science" and
"does not understand the importance of education.
In
his letter, Sisodia, the former Education Minister of Delhi, further claimed
that 60,000 schools have been closed in the last few years.
The
letter starts with Sisodia stating that we live in the era of the 21st century.
He
says, every day science and technology is progressing and the world is talking
about Artificial Intelligence.
In
this context, Sisodia says his heart
sinks when he hears the Prime Minister saying that one can make tea or food
from dirty gas by inserting a pipe in a dirty drain.
"Can
food be cooked from the dirty gas of a drain? No. When the PM says that radar
can't detect an aircraft flying behind clouds, he becomes a subject of mockery
in the entire world. School and college students mock him," writes
Sisodia.
Sisodia says this sort of statement by the PM is extremely dangerous for the nation.
He
says, by this, the World figures out that the PM of India is less educated and
that he doesn't understand science.
Sisodia
said, when the head of other countries hug the PM, they extract a high cost for
every hug and in return, makes him sign in many papers, which the PM doesn't
understand because he is less educated.
He
further writes about the youth of the country stating, "Today's youths is
aspirational, they want to achieve something, and they are looking for
opportunities. They want to win over the world. They want to do wonders in
science and technology. Does a less educated PM have the capacity to fulfil the
aspiration of today's youth?"
Manish
Sisodia then talks about the government schools that have been shut down in
the last few years.
He
alleges that 60,000 schools have been shit down in the last few years.
He
said, since the population of the country is increasing, government schools
should have also increased and that if the govt. schools were good enough then
people would have opted for government schools over private ones.
In
this regard, he cites example of Delhi government schools.
Sisodia
further writes that this shows that education is not the priority of the
government. "How will the country progress if we do not provide a good
education to our children?"
Sisodia
then recalls a video of the PM where he stated that he is not educated, to
which, Sisodia said even for the posts of managers in a company, well-educated
persons are required. "Should the manager of the country not be
educated?"
The
CBI had on February 26 arrested Manish Sisodia in connection with alleged
corruption in the formulation and implementation of the now-scrapped Delhi
Excise Policy 2021-22 on February 26, following several rounds of
interrogation.
On
March 31, a trial court dismissed Sisodia's bail application, saying he was
"prima facie the architect" and played the "most important and
vital role" in the criminal conspiracy relating to the alleged payment of
advance kickbacks of Rs 90-100 crore meant for him and his colleagues in the
Delhi government.
Delhi
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was earlier fined an amount of Rs 25,000 by the
Gujarat High Court for seeking information on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's educational
qualification under the Right to Information (RTI) Act.
