MOS Home Affairs Nityanand Rai visited Tawang amidst the hullabaloo of Chinese New Land border law

TAWANG: Arunachal Pradesh's Tawang region has lately garnered much attention owing to the minor face-off in the Yangtse region creating an incongruous environment and later on the initiatives of India to have deployed M-777 howitzers and the Swedish Bofors guns in the region, creating a bottleneck for the Chinese counterpart.
The recent visit of the Minister of State Home Affairs Shri Nityanand Rai's visit to Tawang might have set china's teeth on edge.

ON 1st November 2021, MOS Home Affairs Nityanand Rai visited the Karshangla outpost near the Indo-China Border, he interacted with the Jawans of 55BN ITBP, Shungaster, in Tawang.
Sources informed The SPACE that the minister had inaugurated 6 SSB infrastructures, under the presence of Inspector General, FTR Tezpur (Assam)-P.K Gupta and other dignitaries at 38BN SSB headquarter, Tawang. The buildings worth more than 29 Crore includes- Quarter Guard, 88 Men Barrack, 10 bedded Hospital, Subordinate officer’s mess 32, Type-3, Govt. Quarter and 60 type-3, Govt. Quarter.
The MOS acknowledged the ITBP Jawan's strength and agility to have endured and served the nation in various calamities, from the freezing temperature to the perilous topography the ITBP Jawan has time and again proved themselves.

A new battalion of ITBP shall be recruited accordingly, the plan for further strengthening the border is being attended by the government of India___sources added (Tawang)

Back on the 24th to 27th of October HCM Shri Pema Khandu also had a three-day-long tour to the Indo-Tibet border where he expressed to the Jawan stationed that, “We are safe because you guard our borders with utmost sincerity. People of India, especially of Arunachal Pradesh and particularly of Tawang district, will remain indebted to you all forever,”
