Joint combing operation of NLFB(National Liberation Front of Bodoland) Training Camp at Seijosa by APP and Assam Police.
In the early hours of 15/06/2021, the APP and the Assam Police carried out an uneventful combing operation at Seijosa, Pakke Kesang to flush out suspected training camps set up by NLFB. The combing operation culminated as a result of information received on 5th June 2021 from Assam Police that the NLFB had set up training camps within the forested areas of Seijosa circle. Then based on said information a meticulous joint operation was planned.
Accordingly, a special team was constituted under the leadership of IGP (Law & Order) Chukhu Apa, SP SIT Rohit Rajbir Singh and SP SB John Pada under the over all supervision of DGP RP Upadhyaya.
On receiving credible information regarding spotting of 2 camps in the deep jungle by one of the sources, a team consisting of STF, SIT, SB, 3rd Battallion IRBn and local police under the supervision of IGP Chukhu Apa was formed to conduct the operation, while the Counterpart Assam police set up a team consisting of Assam commando, Assam Police Rangers and local police under the leadership of IGP LO Deepak Kumar Kedia.
On 15/06/2021, the day of operation, a mixed team of both the States consisting of 320 trained personnel was formed for this special task and special stops were placed at vulnerable spots and all exit routes, incase the suspected UG elements tried to flee in case of any exchange of fire. The team left for the task around 0616 hrs.
The team upon tactically reaching the camp, found it abondoned, and after extensive search of the camp, the following items were recovered /observed :
1.One mobile phone along with a sim card.
2.Two nos. dummy wooden made Arms generally used in the training by the UGs.
3. Clothes, sleeping bag, blankets etc
4. 5 litre gallons filled with Diesel /Kerosene.
5. One tractor without number plate.
6. One bicycle.
