Indian Army & Miao Administration Kicks Off Miao Futsal League

ITANAGAR: In its commitment towards fostering peace and promoting sporting talent in Changlang, Arunachal Pradesh the Lekhapani battalion on Sunday along with Miao administration started ‘Miao Futsal League’ 

A total of 40 players from eight teams will compete for the coveted first and second place awards, which will be sponsored by the local administration and the Indian Army, respectively. The event began with about 500 spectators, under full COVID 19 precautions.

The league also marked the inauguration of Miao Futsal Stadium by CO Lekhapani Battalion(Guest of Honor) & DC Changlang (Chief Guest).

During the occasion, DC Changlang lauded Lekhapani Battalion's efforts to promote sports in collaboration with the civil government and to take steps to win the hearts and minds of locals. CO Lekhapani Battalion also sent his best wishes to the players and announced sponsorship for ADC Miao's Sports Bank concept.

The audience at the competition lauded the Indian Army's efforts in putting on such an event that develops a sense of camaraderie between the local community and the Indian Army.
