India beats Sri Lanka by 91 runs in India vs Sri Lanka 3rd T20I.

In
the India vs Sri Lanka match, played at Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in
Rajkot on Saturday (January 7), India beat Sri Lanka by 91 runs to win series
2-1.
Hardik
Pandya won the toss and decided to bat first against Sri Lanka in the final
T20I of the three-match series in Rajkot.
Srilanka
got off to a great start when Dilshan Madushanka strikes early to dismiss Ishan
Kishan (1) in the first over itself.
Following
which, Rahul Tripathi 35(16) began his assault and India reached 52 in 5 overs
before Tripathi departed.
Suryakumar
Yadav was the next batsman in, and began his innings with a four and a six.
Along with Subhman Gill (46 off 35),
Suryakumar Yadav stitched a 111 run partnership. He went on to complete his 3rd
century in T20Is in just 45 balls.
The
World No. 1 batsman in T20i smacked 8 sixes and 6 fours to reach the landmark
today.
It
is also the 2nd fastest century by an Indian batsman in T20Is after Rohit
Sharma's 35 ball century vs Srilanka in Indore 2017.
Suryakumar
Yadav (112* off 51) ended the innings in style, hitting a six and a four off
Chamika Karunaratne in the last over. 12 runs from the last over took India to
a massive 228 for 5 in their allotted 20 overs. Axar Patel remained unbeaten on
21 off 9 balls.
Mendis
started well with a flurry of strokes but once India adjusted their lines and
lengths, the visitors simply fizzled away. All the bowlers had a good time out
there, notably the spinners who did a fine job.

Singh (3 for 20 in 2.4 overs), clean bowled Dilshan Madushanka (1) to bundle
out Sri Lanka for 137 inside 17 overs. India registered a crushing 91-run
victory to seal the three-match series 2-1.
