ZIRO: On the 11th of November State Environment and Forest
Minister Shri Mama Natung visited Ziro orchid Conservation and Propagation
centre, Hapoli Forest Division, wherein he lauded the team to have taken such
initiatives to conserve the orchids. Currently, the centre holds 70 species
of orchids and is the second orchid's conservation after the Orchid Research
Centre located at Tippi in West Kameng district.

The state of Arunachal Pradesh has
primarily been known for the Orchids and even the state's flower is named an
orchid Rhynchostylisretusa,
"ziro ka humara DFO saab ne kafi acha initiative shuru kia , apna orchid ko conservation karneka" stated Natung while addressing the SPACE media.
The environment and Forest Minister stated that this initiative of the Ziro Division will help the public to get acquainted with the whereabouts and new facts on orchids.
Natung urged the citizens of the state to take up such conservative strategies in their own residence as well and not just in such centres.
"There are more than 600 orchids in the state, and in the country, Arunachal Pradesh is the only state to have endowed with the varieties of orchids, and this needs to be conserved" added Natung while lauding the DFO's initiatives in Ziro Division.
while expressing his gratitude towards the Ziro division Natung said, "I urged the DFO's of the various district to take up such initiatives of conservation of Orchid"
"Chota hi sahi lekin usko shuru kare" concluded Natung before heading forward to his further schedules.
The Ziro Conservation Centre was inaugurated by Shri Tage Taki, Hon'ble Minister for Agri, Horti, AH & Vety Dairy Vet and Fisheries, on September 2021 at the office of Divisional Forest Officer, Ziro.
