Governor of Assam Prof. Jagadish Mukhi, who is on a four-day tour to Arunachal Pradesh, arrived at Itanagar on 31st December 2021.

The Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.), First Lady of the State Smt Neelam Misra, Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Pema Khandu and Hon’ble Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) received Prof. Mukhi and Smt Prem Mukhi at Raj Bhavan, Itanagar. The Governor Brig. (Dr.) Mishra (Retd.) hosted a State Banquet in the honour of the visiting Governor and his wife.
The Governor of Arunachal Pradesh expressed his hope that the maiden visit of Prof. Mukhi will further cement the age-old cordial relation between the two neighbouring States, Arunachal Pradesh and Assam. He said that reinforcement of the goodwill amongst the people of Arunachal Pradesh and Assam will boost the socio-economic development in the region and also secure the territorial integrity of the nation.
The Governor of Arunachal Pradesh, accompanied by the Governor of Assam will be visiting the easternmost village of the State, Kaho Village and interact with the villagers on the New Year day. They will also meet the troops guarding the frontiers during their tour to the Border area.
Earlier on his arrival at Naharlagun Helipad, State Police personnel presented a Guard of Honour to the Governor of Assam, Prof. Jagadish Mukhi, while at Raj Bhavan the Guard of Honour was presented by the Indi Tibetan Border Police.
