Doimukh Witnesses Exodus of crowds on the occasion of ongoing Festive Season
STATE: The month of October has always been welcomed with great pomp and joy over the ages , except for the recent years due to the unprecedented surge of the Covid-19 Pandemic. The pandemic had indeed taken a toll on the fragile brains of the Indian Masses and Arunachal Pradesh in Particular. Lately, the Doimukh-Nirjuli area of ICR, witnessed an exodus of crowds in the Doimukh charali- ground, wherein the masses seem to have gotten rid of the pandemic.
In-Depth
The previous year had invaded not just the freedom of the masses from going out and doing things but even snatched away several special occasions where people could at least have some quality time. This year commenced with a bit of ease in the administration until the state government again decided to go on for the incessant lockdown.
However in the first week of September 2021, with the decrease in the surge of Covid-19, The state government unlocked and relaxed the lockdown, bringing much-awaited normalcy back to the masses, wherein the citizens of the state took a sigh of relief, especially the youths and their parents were satisfied with the opening of the education institution.
But with the commencement of the festive season in the state, the government and the masses have to check if the depreciated Covid cases don't gallop again, bringing back the calamities of covid and its negative implication all over the state.
The SPACE Media had a ground interview with few individuals who came for the celebration of the ongoing Durga Puja, the anonymous individual seems very happy, as he stated, "We have waited for this day for long enough, covid is no more today, it is time to celebrate, why to bother our mind again, talking about covid"
The other individual stated, "Yes Covid -19 is deadly, but we can see that our government has relaxed everything back to normalcy because the government knows that the covid is no more "
Some individuals did sound little concern on the covid , "We have to be careful while enjoying and celebrating the festivals, I have to come to see and enjoy but I have totally avoided the crowd"
Few families also have stated that ," we can't let our children roam around within the crowds, we must all make sure to keep distance amidst the celebration"
However the team SPACEalso interviewed the roadside shopkeepers, who were busy selling, toy guns, balloons, and shining lights to the teenagers and several youths who came having attracted to it, The shopkeeper informed that he came all over from Naharlagun, "Humara Dukan Naharlagun me he, hum yaha bechne ayehe".
The festive season is going very well and masses seem to be enjoying after a long wait, but however the district administration, the concerned authority should make sure there is no further increase in covid cases through these crowds.
Although the covid cases have decreases but people must understand that it has not ceased yet. According to Economic Times The state health department issued an advisory urging people "to avoid gatherings and processions as much as possible this year, keeping in mind the possibility of Covid third wave and spreading of infection".The health department also suggested that revelers should keep the festivities confined to their families instead of moving in large crowds. The advisory further said that 'Sindur Khela' should also be avoided this year.
The state of Arunachal Pradesh has witnessed covid cases, battles, and miseries among the communities due to pandemic, the citizen should keep on adhering to the covid norms wherever they are and the state government has to immensely look into and rather not overlook such matters.
