Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to visit Arunachal Pradesh to launch important infrastructure projects.

Defence
Minister to visit Arunachal Pradesh as chief guest for the opening ceremony of
the 100-metre Siyom Bridge which is a strategically important infrastructure
project in the state.
It
will be the Defence Minister's first visit after the recent clash between the
Indian and Chinese troops near Tawang along the LAC.
The
Defence Minister will also virtually inaugurate 27 other projects of the Border
Roads Organisation (BRO) along with the release of the BRO Vision and New Tech Handbook.
Following the virtual inauguration, Singh is also said to interact with the
locals of the state.
The
Minsiter took to his Twitter handle and writes, "Leaving New Delhi for
Dibrugarh on a two day visit to Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. Shall attend the
inaugural ceremony of several infrastructure projects constructed by Border
Roads Organisation (BRO) in seven border States. Looking forward to it."
According
to reports, the projects will be an important
step towards development as the Chinese has already built up their side of LAC
when it comes to roads, airports, railway tracks etc.
So it is equally important for India to make important infrastructure projects
especially with the ongoing Chinese transgressions and future threats.
The
100 metre Siyom Bridge is in the eastern part of Arunachal Pradesh, on the
Along-Yinkiong Road, further ahead of Assam's Dibrugarh.
