DC Capital to take strong action against the Public Vehicles with irregularities

ITANAGAR: On the 11th of November 2021, a bus carrying the students of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Chimpu, was reported to have overturned on the NH-415 towards the WRD Colony, claiming the reason to be an abrupt brake failure. The students received minor injuries.

Approximately around 7:20 am the Police had received the information wherein the Capital SP Jimmy Chiram rushed to the incident site and had a glance over the situation, the bus with the registration number of AS 12Y /1050 met with an abrupt accident wherein 16 students were reported to have suffered minor injuries. The students were brought to the hospital and treated accordingly.
The driver of the bus has also been treated and detained for further inquiry.
Meanwhile, the DC Capital Talo Potom had stated, "We'll take strong action against not just the school buses but also the Public Vehicles plying around the ICR with irregularities"
"The brake failure might have been the reason but the drivers need to cross-check their vehicles for any anomalies and mal-functioned within their vehicle parts" added Potom
However, a case has been registered at the Chimpu Police Station under section 338 IPC.
