Cyclothon cum awareness rally on transparent taxation was held from Meka to Bomjir in the Lower Dibang Valley district

ROING: On 10th of December 2021 Lower Dibang Valley witnessed an organized cylothon in a bid to ignite awareness on transparent taxation.

In a bid to create awareness on transparent taxation, the department of Income Tax organized a cyclothon and awareness rally from Meka to Bomjir in the Lower Dibang Valley district today.
Mrs. GG Kamei, Commissioner (Admn) Guwahati, North-East Region while in an interview to the SPACE Express that, "We are celebrating this on the line of Azadi ki Amrit Mahotsav, we want have urged people to participate, we started with plantation and even reached out to many schools and colleges, we organized essay competition, we have mainly focused on creating an awareness on a complete transparent taxation"
Further speaking to the SPACE Kamei added that all other North-Eastern state has also been reached out.
SPACE Correspondence Roshni Perying informed that the cyclothon witnessed the participation of many people from various backgrounds, schools students were also seen participating it. Apart from that Cyclists from Jorhat, Dibrugarh, local cyclists, and members of Roing Raptors Cycling Club took part in the event.
Deputy Commissioner K N Damo, addressing the participants, spoke on the importance of taxation for the state. He also stressed the need to stay healthy and fit.
SP J K Lego, ZPC Obang Ngupok, and ZPM Tony Borang also spoke on the occasion and advised the youth to stay away from drugs and alcohol.
Raju Tayeng, Chief Commissioner (Income tax NE region, Guwhati) assured to arrange sponsors through the department for the local cyclists to conduct competitions.
