"Connecting twin capital is our priority" says HCM Pema Khandu while inspecting the NH-415

ICR: Having talked about the prevailing dilapidated condition of the National Highway (NH-415) in the recently held 7th Assembly Session, HCM Pema Khandu assured the citizen that he would heed to this matter. On 6th Sep 2021, HCM Khandu decided to inspect the NH 415 stretching right from the Capital Itanagar to Banderdewa.
Phurpa Tsering the advisor to the PWD, Tamme Phassang, Mayor, DC Talo Potom, Chief Engineer Highway, and his team accompanied HCM Pema Khandu.
"It was better to visit physically in the morning hours to avoid traffic and congestion and to ensure accomplishment of the purpose of the survey" added Khandu
HCM stated that the tender for package B with 11.3 km has been complete but the date has not been appointed to carry on the work, it will be started after the DC issues a final land acquisition file, whereas the tender and land acquisition of Package C around 7.3km between Nirjuli Veterinary office to Banderdewa has been completed and the appointed date has also been issued.
HCM further stated, "the question of maintenance of the road has been burning quite a lot, so it is the contractor that is responsible for the maintenance for the road, unfortunately, due to incessant rainfall the roads are being washed away leading to the destruction of the motorable road, but hopefully by the end of September the road will be motorable again"
HCM Khandu assured the completion of the Underpass Road at the Bank Tinali and the Bridge at the Chandranagar shall be completed within this month.
Having stated "Connecting twin capital is our priority" HCM stated by 2024 HCM has sought for completion of the entire sectoral road with Cement Concrete. (CC).
