The lone connecting road that leads to NIT, Jote, Ganga Lake, State Biological Park, and hundreds of houses dwelling in the other side of the road cries for immediate attention due to the pathetic condition of the road. According to the locals, the road has been in the same condition for years together as the department concerned has failed to come up with a concrete solution till date. Yumlam Lee, president, All India Students Federation Arunachal Pradesh Council while speaking to The Space lamented, “The water logged potholes were there since many years due to the construction of walls on the side of the road. The public here fears the worsening of the condition with the onset of monsoon as it is apprehended to create nuisance for the local dwellers and commuters.” “The concerned department should come up with a solution soon as the road connects important tourist spots too for the Papum Pare district,” Lee added.
