Arunachal Wushu participants brings back 9 medals in the recently held 20th Junior National Wushu Championship at Punjab

STATE: The 20th Junior National ‘Wushu’ Championship concluded at Lovely Professional University (LPU) campus, where 1500-plus sportsmen-women from across all states of India participated.

The championship was organized by the Punjab Wushu Association under the aegis of Wushu Association of India. Having started on October 20, the championship was held in two types of Wushu- Sanda and Taolu- in nine weight categories for boys and five for girls. With 26 gold, 17 silver and 12 bronze medals in both categories, Manipur lifted the overall trophy of the championship.
Arunachal bagged two gold, as many silver and five bronze medals in the 20th Junior National Wushu Championship (Boys and Girls), wherein Yorna Rosni bagged both the gold medals in Jianshu and Spear events. She also bagged one bronze medal each in the Chanquan and Dual event.
Chera Loku and Taug Ama won a silver medal each in the Taijijian event and in the below 60 kg fight, respectively, While Dani Nuri bagged a bronze medal each in the Taijiquan and Dual events, Anjuru Melo won the fifth bronze in the Taijijian event.
The information was shared after The SPACE had a telephonic conversation with Arunachal Pradesh Wushu Association president Toko Teki.
He wished for the further great endeavour in the field of Martial Arts among the youths.
