Actor Sanjay Dutt to arrive on 29th of November in Mechuka of Shi-Yomi District.
Mechuka: Actor Sanjay Dutt will arrive in Mechuka on the 29th of November 2021, he shall also be the brand ambassador on the occasion of the Golden Jubilee of the state of Arunachal Pradesh, which has been scheduled to be held in the month of January 2022.
Having arrived at Shi-Yomi district actor Sanjay Dutt will officially launch a media campaign for the celebration, as per "Arunachal Times".
To promote tourism the actor also has a plan to feature in certain promotional videos.
He shall take part in a series of other programs that have been lined up, which include a campaign against drug and substance abuse.
Arunachal became a full-fledged State on February 20, 1987. Till 1972, it was known as the North-East Frontier Agency (NEFA). It gained the Union Territory status on January 20, 1972, and was also renamed Arunachal Pradesh.
Therefore in the month of September 2021, Hon'ble Speaker PD Sona announced a month-long celebration on the occasion of 50 years of the state's renamed as Arunachal Pradesh.
The celebration will begin on January 20 next year at Ziro in Lower Subansiri district, The closing ceremony will be held at Itanagar on February 20 on Statehood Day.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Pema Khandu and Legislative Assembly Speaker Pasang D Sona have already landed in Mechuka, wherein they met the inhabitants and laid the foundation stone for the construction of a new academic block at Govt Secondary School, Monigong, and construction of a veterinary aid center for Pidi circle.
