APPSC holds meeting with Governor Mishra at Raj Bhawan
ITANAGAR: On January 19, 2022, members of the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC), led by Chairman Shri Nipo Nabam, met with Governor Brig. (Dr.) BD. Mishra (Retd.) at Raj Bhavan, Itanagar. They discussed about the conduct of examination, examination calendars and matters pertaining to the APPSC building's construction.
The Governor commended the members for their competency, integrity and professionalism in maintaining high benchmark and efficiency of the Commission, further advising them to uphold the prestige of the institution by ensuring error free conduct of State competitive examinations.
The Governor withal counselled the Commission to coordinate the annual examination calendar with the State Government in order to select the most competent of the youths for the Government's premier services. He highlighted that the sole criterion for hiring must be merit.
Earlier, the APPSC Chairman briefed the Governor on crucial matters pertaining to vacancies and advertisements that the State Government ought to furnish in good time to the Commission. He also apprised the Governor regarding the allocation of responsibilities to newly posted officers in the Commission.
The meeting was attended by APPSC members Shri Tsering Naksang, Major General Ganesh Singh Bisht, VSM (Retd.) and Ms Mepung Tadar Bage, alongside APPSC Secretary Dr. Jayanta Kumar Ray, IAS, Joint Secretary/Comptroller of Examination Shri Suraj Gurung, APCS, Deputy Secretary Shri Taket Jerang and Under Secretary Shri Tumi Gangkak.
