APCS Mains 2020 Results Unsatisfactory bellowed the Aspirants
STATE: The long-awaited APCS Mains result 2020 was declared on 3rd September 2021, the enthralled aspirant fastened up their belt to see if they have made it through, wherein 141 candidates had been declared qualified for the personality test i.e the viva voce.
The aggrieved candidates has opined that the APPSC has sought for the UPSC pattern of conducting the examination but the commission has failed to adhere to the norms.
The selection procedure of the APCS Viva Voce should have been 1:3 wherein the aspirants bellowed that the result did not pertain to that procedure, and the result tends to be unsatisfactory.
The commission said there are 111 Group A and B posts under the state government. “As per the rules framed by the government, a ratio of 1:3 has to be maintained to take the personality test/viva voce, which means 333 (111×3) candidates should be allowed to appear in the personality test,” the commission said.
Further, it has been informed that only 141 candidates could be able to secure the required marks to qualify for the personality test.
“A candidate must secure 33 percent marks in each paper and 45 percent in aggregate as per the existing rule. However, the commission has found only 141 candidates who have been able to clear the mains written examination. Candidates who did not clear the mains written examination cannot be allowed to take the next level of examination” added the commission.
The APPSC had conducted the examination for recruitment to various posts wherein around 1,200 candidates had appeared in the mains examination, which was held between 6 and 14 February this year.
The aggrieved aspirants however tend to defy the commission's statement and stated, "If all the candidates get selected through the viva then what is the meaning of conducting it"
