"14th Naba Ita Pulu Football tournament for women ends": APSCW Chairperson Chai graced the event.

ROING: Final match of the 14th Naba Ita Pulu football tournament with great joy for the winning team IPS (Intaya Public School) on 21st of November 2021 at Kera-aa football ground, Roing. The final match was graced by APSCW Chairperson Smt. Radhelu chai Techi. IPS took the lead in the penalty shoot.

As per the report, Achom Degio of IPS won the best player of the tournament title, while Amiyu Aprawe of Coco FC won the ‘hero of the match’ title, as well as the best goalkeeper title. Kai Rumi of Coco FC was the highest scorer with seven goals.
The winners walked away with a trophy and Rs 40,000 cash award, while the runner-up received Rs 30,000 along with a trophy.
The tournament was organized by the Naba Ita Pulu Memorial Football Cup Committee in collaboration with the Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women and the Human Rights Law Network.
Earlier in the Kera-aa ground, Techi was heard advising the girls to take up sports in a serious manner.
“the commission for women has written to the government to consider a selection of two girls from each district to join Sangey Lhaden Sports Academy to encourage more women in taking up sports and games as a career,” added Chai.
The APSCW Chairperson had also added few significance of the property inheritance right while addressing the crowd on which several denizens expressed anguish.
"Why does she have to speak on inheritance bill on a football match, when the entire state has already condemned the bill" stated the denizens of Roing.
Chai mostly expressed her words for the empowerment of the women section wherein she added that “For a woman to be economically, socially and politically empowered, it is essential to give her property rights,”
Further, she also stressed avoiding the menaces like drugs and other evil practices and rather focus on the positive aspects of life.
The team members of Intaya Public School were seen lifting off the trophy with full joy and enthusiasm. It's Principal Shri RP Tiwari expressed great satisfaction having served a victory by his school's girl football team.
